Halimed Pharmaceuticals Inc. (“Halimed”) is an early stage biotechnology company developing a pipeline of drugs for affective disorders. The company's technology is centered on a proprietary peptide modification chemistry platform and intellectual properties of a portfolio of non-natural amino acid analogs of arginine (Arg) and lysine (Lys) that, when incorporated into biologically active peptides, improves their overall pharmacological profile.
The proprietary chemistry platform enables the transformation of biologically active peptides into novel drug candidates through selective modifications of one or more amino acids that confers stability and allows for delivery across biological barriers resulting in vastly improved pharmacological properties. Two peptide-based drug products are currently in preclinical development for schizophrenia and for pain. Several other product programs based on the same chemistry platform are in the lead identification stage. Halimed is focused on further research and development as well as partnering with large pharmaceutical companies for product commercialization.

Immunologix is an antibody development company founded on a proprietary method of converting naïve B-cells to fully mature human antibodies targeting any antigen. This technology platform represents a paradigm shift in the way antibodies are derived as only Immunologix can generate fully human antibodies using a 100% in vitro system. This system produces human monoclonal antibodies against any target including bacterial and viral antigens as well as tumor antigens and human auto-antigens.
With an international exclusive license from the Medical University of South Carolina, Immunologix delivers on a key unmet need in antibody-based therapeutics. This rapidly growing market exceeded 30 billion dollars in 2009 yet all currently approved antibodies are non-human products. Immunologix’s exclusive technology begins with tonsils or whole blood and provides fully human antibodies, including scale-up quantities necessary for clinical trials, of any known protein/antigen in a fully in vitro system. This process is far superior to traditional methods and offers increased safety and reliability, lower costs, and a dramatically reduced delivery time.

MFC Tech is a new R&D company dedicated to the development of intellectual properties for renewable energy technologies. The company’s patent-pending processes increase ethanol or hydrogen yields from cellulose by more than 2-fold while avoiding product loss due to fouling contamination. The ultimate goal is to achieve higher yields of the biofuels at lower cost than what commercially available technologies can offer at present. MFC Tech will then license the processes
The company’s current focus is on renewable ethanol and hydrogen due to their large and growing markets as fuels and chemicals. However, the company is also exploring other ways to use the biocatalysts such as the production of additional fuels and chemicals or manufacturing of bioelectrical devices and sensors. MFC Tech will collaborate with industrial, academic, and financial partners who share the same goal and passion for renewable energy.

Restorative Physiology Group is actively engaged in the development of novel spinal implants based upon the ThermalMethod™ of deployment. This technology leverages cardiovascular stent technology and allows “controlled, ordered, and sequential” transition of thermally active shape memory materials. This method is capable of reliably transitioning a low temperature simple linear form (like a wire) into a pre-determined complex 3-dimensional shape at human body temperature.
This technique is the basis for development of a variety of implantable medical devices. Devices based upon ThermalMethod technology have functional, structural, and size characteristics equivalent to current devices that must be placed using an open surgical technique. Unlike other minimally invasive implant designs that still require fairly large straight access pathways, our implants are placed utilizing the “Least Invasive” access instrumentation and are full sized, full function devices when thermally transitioned in situ.
